Multi-PC Setup

Show and control a second PC's browser media on your Stream Deck keys and dials or your iCUE widget — over your local network, in a couple of minutes.

PC 2 needs nothing but the browser extension — it sends its media straight to your main PC.

1On your main PC (the one with Stream Deck or iCUE)

Pick whichever you use — or do both. They share the same address and PIN.

Stream Deck

  1. Open the settings of any Browser Media Controls action.
  2. Scroll to the Multi-PC section and tick Enable.
  3. If Windows asks to allow a firewall change, click Yes (one time).
  4. Note the address and PIN shown — you'll type them on PC 2.

iCUE widget

  1. Run BMC Helper Setup (the same installer you used for the widget).
  2. Tick "Show another PC's media on this PC".
  3. Note the address and PIN it shows — they also appear in the extension's toolbar popup on this PC.
Using both Stream Deck and iCUE? Set things up in the Stream Deck section — it configures the widget side automatically with the same PIN.

2On PC 2 (the one whose media you want to see)

Only the browser extension is needed — no other software.

  1. Install the Browser Media Controls extension if it isn't already.
  2. Click the extension's icon in the toolbar to open its settings.
  3. Tick "Send my media to another PC".
  4. Enter your main PC's address and the PIN from step 1.
  5. The status dots turn green when connected — usually within a few seconds.

3Use it

  1. Play something on PC 2 — it appears on your Stream Deck and widget with a PC2 tag.
  2. Pin a key or dial to PC 2: in the action's settings, set Computer to PC 2. It will never show your own media. Set another action to This PC for the opposite.
  3. Let it decide: set Computer to Auto — it shows whichever PC is playing. When both play, the Priority PC wins.
  4. In the iCUE widget, use "Show media from" in the gear panel to show all media, only this PC, or only PC 2.

Troubleshooting

The status stays "Not connected"

Both PCs must be on the same network. Double-check the address and PIN — the PIN is exactly 6 digits. Make sure the media PC's browser is open (the extension only runs while the browser does), and that you clicked Yes on the firewall prompt on the main PC.

It says wrong PIN, but the PIN looks right

The PIN in the Stream Deck Multi-PC section is the source of truth. If you changed it there, re-enter the new value in the extension settings on PC 2. After five wrong attempts the connection is blocked for one minute — wait and try again.

Stream Deck works but the iCUE widget doesn't (or the other way around)

The widget needs the BMC helper running on your main PC (it starts with your browser), and Multi-PC enabled via BMC Helper Setup or the Stream Deck settings. Restart your browser on the main PC once if the widget shows "Waiting for helper".

It worked before, but stopped after I changed networks

Your main PC's address likely changed. Open the Multi-PC section again, check the address it shows now, and update it in the extension settings on PC 2. Consider giving your main PC a static IP in your router for a permanent setup.

Is this safe?

Multi-PC is off by default on every PC. Connections are only accepted from devices that present your 6-digit PIN, repeated failures are rate-limited, and nothing ever leaves your local network. Turning the option off closes the network ports immediately.
